Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Day Auction will offer a strong selection of works from the post-war period to the present. The morning session includes highly sought after pieces by David Hockney, Helen Frankenthaler and Jean-Michel Basquiat. The afternoon session presents exceptional examples of contemporary painting, photography and sculpture, including works by artists such as George Condo, Gerhard Richter and Christopher Wool and will also feature works by a group of trailblazing African-American artists who have donated artwork to benefit the Studio Museum in Harlem.
