Following the outstanding success of 2017’s auctions where numerous world records were established for major 20th century, June’s Art Contemporain Evening Auction, taking place on 6 June, will once again offer an exceptional selection of works by some of the most important and sought after artists of the last 100 years. Headlined by Dubuffet’s Portrait d’homme dating from May 1946, Joan Mitchell’s lyrical quadriptych A Tribord as well as a historical painting by Nicolas de Staël, an outstanding group of works from the School of Paris and a Zao Wou-Ki from a prestigious collection never before seen at auction, the Art Contemporain Evening sale will boast several masterpieces on canvas, works on paper and sculptures that will carefully be assembled at the Galerie Charpentier.
